What is PictorAI?
PictorAI is an AI chat photo editor and image generator for iPhone, iPad and Mac. You edit a photo by typing what you want changed, and you can also create realistic photos, logo concepts and tattoo designs from a text description. It runs on Google's Gemini image models.
How does editing photos by chat work?
Pick a photo from your library, then type the change as a message: 'remove the background', 'make it evening', 'put me on a beach'. The edited photo comes back as a reply, and you can keep asking for changes in the same conversation. You can also select several photos and ask the app to combine them, or tap a one-tap quick action such as Remove Background, Remove People, Fix Imperfections or Studio Ghibli Style. Conversations are saved, so you can come back to an edit later.
How much does a chat edit cost?
Each message that produces an image costs 1 coin. On PRO and MAX it comes out of the daily allowance first and only uses coins once the allowance is spent.
Is PictorAI free?
Installing the app is free. Images and edits are paid for with coins: you can buy a coin pack, or earn 30 coins once by sharing the app. Starting a PRO trial adds 25 bonus coins to your balance. Nothing renews or charges without a subscription.
How do Coins work?
Coins are the currency for images and edits. 1 coin = a chat edit or a Fast Mode image, 2 coins = Normal Mode, 5 coins = Ultra Mode. Ultra at 2K resolution costs double (10 coins) and is available on MAX.
What are the subscription plans?
PRO includes 25 generations per day, the higher-quality PRO chat model, all premium styles and a one-time bonus of 25 coins when you start a trial. MAX includes 50 generations per day, everything in PRO, Ultra Mode at 2K resolution and early access to new styles and tools. Subscribers can keep spending coins past the daily allowance. Current prices for your region are shown in the App Store.
Which AI models does PictorAI use?
Google's Gemini image models. Fast Mode and standard chat edits use Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite Image (Nano Banana 2 Lite), Normal Mode and the PRO chat lane use Gemini 3.1 Flash Image (Nano Banana 2), and Ultra Mode uses Gemini 3 Pro Image. The app no longer uses Imagen 4, which Google has retired. Models are updated on our servers as Google releases new ones. Your prompt and photos are sent to Google only to produce the image you asked for and are not used by us for advertising or profiling.
Which devices does PictorAI support?
PictorAI runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17.1 or later, and on Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 14.1 or later. There is no Android version. An Android app with a similar name on Google Play is made by a different developer and is not related to us.
Is my data private?
Yes. PictorAI is designed as a private creative studio. There are no public feeds; your creations and chat edits are stored in your personal history and synced only to your own account. You can delete individual chats, or your whole account and all of its data, from inside the app.
